Summer is over Fall is here! The last of the cruise ships has sailed south for the winter. Trading the cold and the snow for sand and sun. I can’t say I blame them, October in Juneau, Alaska is known for its rainy, windy weather. When we were younger my parents would always make sure we left for a week or two in October. Part of the reason was just to catch our breath after a busy summer season and the other reason was to get away from the October storms. We would always go back to Michigan to visit my Grandparents. I always enjoyed going back to there and seeing all the trees change colors. Juneau is getting more colorful trees planted around town but nothing compares to the maples back in Charlevoix. The stretch for what seems like miles!
Have no fear though because we never close the store ( except on Sundays) We are working on getting our winter hours posted on the website so you can always know when to call. In the mean time here are our hours:
